The Northeast Neighborhood consists of about 800 acres of farmland with a bit of rural housing in the northeast corner of the city of Fitchburg, WI that is currently being targeted for leap-frog development (i.e. sprawl).

The West Waubesa Preservation Coalition favors a moratorium on transmission lines until an independent study of Dane County’s energy needs has been completed and studied by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
